Imaginary Friend

Sometime I pretend
I have an imaginary friend
And we imagine again
That he also has an imaginary friend
And the friend has a friend,
And the friend has a friend
And it’s hard to imagine
where each imaginary friend begins and
where the other ends
And when we imagine no end to each imaginary friend
then I begin to think I no longer need to pretend
And that everyone real or imagined
is my real or imaginary friend.
