Poem: Asleep Within

Love lost, love found
In the void, all around
In the shadows, in the open
In our fears, in our hoping
love lost, long forgotten
Love found, never stopping
It can not be created nor
Can it be destroyed
It can only be discovered
Between a girl and a boy
Lost in rational, the facts of getting older
In the darkness of a life always getting colder
Found again in joy, like a vision of a child
Realizing it laid sleeping within, waiting for a while
Lost or found it makes no difference from the start
It is only when we accept that it is always there
Can we feel it in our heart
